The 2016 edition of the Network Performing Arts Production Workshops took place on 21-23 March in Miami, USA. The workshop was hosted by New World Symphony, sponsored by Internet2.

TheĀ annual three-day conference served as a platform for academics, artists, technology professionals and arts administrators to discuss artistic endeavors that utilize advanced networking applications; learn about and use cutting-edge distance-education technology; and explore new ways of incorporating audio and visual technology in performances.

The 2016 workshop programme included 12 sessions featuring multiple demonstrations and performances exploring topics such as low-latency audio/visual streaming (LOLA), 4K streaming, long-distance networked collaborations, optimisation of distance educational programs, opportunities for international partnerships, high-speed display devices, and simultaneous multi-location performances.
